Our first annual AIGA New Orleans Design Summit will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 6:30-8:30pm in Roussel Hall on Loyola University's Uptown campus.
The purpose of this event is to bring together leaders from various creative fields in our community to discuss the current state and future of design in the City of New Orleans. This moderated forum will allow conversation to develop around such topics as the growth of design awareness in our community, reinforcing the value of design, how designers can help rebuild New Orleans locally and abroad, the importance of supporting design education, our responsibility as designers to our community and more.

We are excited about opening up doors for people to begin gathering and having a focused and meaningful conversation about design and we intend to establish the AIGA New Orleans Design Summit as an annual event, held in the last quarter of the year, which will hopefully inspire everyone involved to incorporate what we learn from our discussion into our goals and project plans for the following year.
This event will be free and open to the public.
