STUDENT PORTFOLIO REVIEW 2008

Student Portfolio Review continues to grow, this year hosted by LSU there were 110 students reviewed from south Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.  All totaled approximately 200 people attended the event.  WOW!

Review was preceded by a Friday workshop on typography  by Sumner Stone for 21 very lucky students.

The famous typographer participated in Saturday’s Review followed by delivering a type lecture open to the general public.

Shortly after this stupendous event a great article authored by Mr. Stone was published in “letterspace. The newsletter of the Type Directors Club.” a .pdf of it is attached.  (NOTE: the Stone article generated some lively debate on Typophile.)
